Lightroom (Classic) is still not playing nicely. I am currently trying to shift a load of files off the desktop to make space on the second drive for work - the video files are killing my SSD drives for capacity! I am, slowly, starting to get to grips with On1 too.
Doesn’t help that I am running on empty, so I think tomorrow will be a recouperation day!

Today has been an interesting day - learning all about homebrewing developing chemicals for darkroom photography using Vitamin C and other remarkably safe substances. The results from the test roll were fantastic and the speed that it developed was rapid.
We also learned a fair bit about other aspects of film processing from a very well informed John Finch who is nothing short of obsessive in his approach to developing chemistry and techniques.
Next month we have another lesson on the older, but more toxic, chemistry of Pyro - but the results that it produces are apparenly even better and it is something I am very, very interested in exploring.

It really is quiet this week - today was my busiest day in the diary… and I was home by lunchtime! The edits have taken a while as I was trying some new software which wound up frustrating me so much that I decided just to work around the issues which Lightroom has thrown up the last few days instead! I think the issues may be computer related (possibly with both sets of issues) so I will try using the laptop next time to see if that works better.

Another month… and it started on a busy note. Although, at the moment, the next week is looking rather quiet.
Which is probably just as well as Adobe has had a hissy fit so I am trying to resolve that - and in the meantime trying to get my head around On1 Photo RAW as an alternative, which is taking a bit of a shift in mindset! I haven’t tried it with a work image as yet, but if all else fails over the weekend then I will start exploring it as an option more thoroughly then. There is also the more modern version of Lightroom that I may have to look closely at, I just prefer the “Classic” iteration!

It is looking like a quiet week this week… I have a few things booked for tomorrow and a few for Friday, but nothing too much as it currently stands. Tomorrow, however, the rest of the dark room is (hopefully) going to arrive so I plan on spending much of this week preparing the room and building my new facility! If all goes to plan it would be nice to process a film and get a print by the end of the week too!
