So... it has been a while
Sorry for the lack of updates! The back end of the year was full on crazy with both work, volunteer and family commitments all vying for attention.
Next year I am on a mission though… I plan on a thorough re-design and relaunch of the website (I had planned to have it done on the run up to 2025, but I am thinking that is pretty unlikely this side of the bells right now, so early next year is the current “aim”. I want to re-ignite my photo a day project as it enters it’s 15th year too, and that is going to be shared on here as well as Flickr/Facebook and perhaps Instagram too. It has become a strange kind of diary alongside a visual record of the year which I think it quite interesting in itself. It is also a vehicle for me to explore some other creative angles from time to time.
Many of the photos on this site are getting quite old now so I want to really refresh the content (and then try to keep it more current) to show what I am doing whilst also celebrating some of the past work that has done well. Video is slowly becoming a more present feature of my workload too, and that really needs to be reflected in the content here - both in terms of the commercial work that I do as well as in the more personal projects that are slowly starting to emerge.
2024 has certainly been a year of growth though, and I think has been a solid foundation period. 2025 is the year that I hope to build on that and to really be my breakout year - there are challenges along the way I am sure, some professional and some personal. I want it to be about more than just “work” though, so I am going to invest some time and effort into both personal growth projects and a little bit of self-care which I am far to quick to ignore. As I work towards a fairly significant life-marker in the autumn I want to be feeling more professionally recognised, healthier in mind and body and generally preparing myself to head into the future equipped to face whatever it may hold.
So that is me checking out of 2024 and I will see you all in ‘25.
Happy New Year!
