More Scheduling Woes

The main theme of this week - my scheduling nightmare from the master spreadsheet has reared it’s head again, which brough me to a conclusive action in terms of copying what data I had from a previous backup from Excel into Google Sheets and starting afresh using their cloud based workflow… and doing heavy research into a CRM. I am not ready to make that jump yet, although it is coming fast… I have plans to get some kind of a laptop device in the near future, partially to allow a more mobile workflow when needed (and just to work on the couch or wherever when I am just doing bits and bobs that don’t require a 42” monitor!) and partially because this PC is about 5 years old now and feels a wee bit fragile at times. It is still powerful enough, that isn’t an issue, but all the components are getting towards that point of failure and that is not a comfortable place to be! So a laptop that could double as a backup solution should this machine outright fail would keep me working whilst I sorted out a replacement. I think this is becoming a mission critical point! Coming back to the CRM, I don’t want to make a decision on that until I have a laptop - and then I want that to integrate with Quickbooks to keep everything I have built up functioning - just with an added layer of robust management (so Google Calander integration is also critical).

The other thing I am seriously looking into is the Nikon movie camera body to use with my lenses. It is a much better solution than trying to get by using the Z6II as it is entirely designed for moving images with stills as an afterthought rather than the other way around. This is taking on a higher priority than a big GFX stills set up for the moment, that can wait for now… although both my Zs are also looking very old and battleworn!

So I need quite a few more strong months this year then! And this month has been one of them with this week finishing strong. Next week is looking reasonably busy too - perhaps a bit too busy given that we are going to Iceland at the end of the week! Only for a week mind, then straight back into it!

I am not going for a full gallery this week - just a single image - I need to alter how I put the galleries together as I have been uploading vast files which take an age. I need to remember to save a couple of photographs from each property in more web-friendly dimensions I think! I also need to get back on track with video uploads.
