I Need a Holiday!

Blimey - I was expecting things to calm down a bit but this first week of the holidays has been manic! It’s great, but come Friday night and I am absolutely beat!

I am still battling with the ARM based laptop not quite behaving as I want it to, I think I need to adapt my workflow a little and find some alternative software - when it works though it is extremely good. I can see this technology really taking hold in the market and forcing the software houses to take notice and create bespoke Windows on ARM versions of their popular programs, particularly in the creative fields. Some things it is a little slow on, but I am comparing this to a very, very high end desktop PC which even by today’s standards is still pretty chunky!

Hopefully next week will bring a little free time to get things working though. If I get a free day I plan on a bit office re-arrangement, a good clean out and then stripping the desktop down to get it running better again, at least safe in the knowledge that I can keep working using the laptop if I run into issues that slow down the restoration project that I am about to embark on!

Oh yes - I got another Commended in the BIPP Monthlies this month. I need to find some submissions for July soon though and pickings seem pretty slim at the moment!
