Inverness FotoWalk 2026

This week saw the second Inverness FotoWalk led by Iain Farrell from the Prime Lens Podcast. I went along last year and it was nice to spend a bit of time wandering around the city, chatting to folk and then going for a coffee and a blether afterwards. Although this one was marred by the cafe forgetting to bring the millionaire shortbread I ordered… and me not remembering until I was halfway home! I shall have to enquire next time I am in the darkroom as it looked rather good!

Anyway, it was actually a fantastic day all around and topped off a fairly decent week too - a great way to round off September and start really looking forward to the autumn!

I have made a big step forward in the analogue side of things… I have started building my own darkroom! To start off with I am just going to process my film at home and continue to use WASPs for all my printing, but the plan is to bring most of it in house by the end of the year, and then just retain my WASPs membership for the really BIG stuff - because there is no way I can fit a De Vere 504 enlarger in the house just at the moment! Or ideally… something even bigger! But if I could print from negatives up to 6×9 at home, and print sizes up to 12” x 16”, that would cover most the bases for now!
